Built for traders by traders. The leading platform for cataloging and analyzing historical trading setups.
ChartLab was founded by a trader who's also a software engineer. After years of manually documenting chart setups in spreadsheets and static screenshots, he realized there had to be a better way.
He wanted a platform to systematically study, catalog, and document chart setups from historical data. After searching extensively for such a platform, he discovered it simply didn't exist.
So he decided to build it — not just for himself, but for all traders who understand that true conviction comes from putting in the work and seeing the evidence with your own eyes.
Our founder was fed up with having collections of static chart images that couldn't be modified. When wanting to review setups with a different indicator or chart style, it meant recreating everything from scratch. This frustration led to one of ChartLab's core features: TradingView dynamic integration.
Now traders can load any historical setup in a living TradingView chart where they can add different indicators, change timeframes, or adjust chart styles—all without losing their notes or categorization. This makes your catalog a truly living, evolving research tool rather than a static archive.
We were deeply inspired by the first section of William O'Neill's "How to Make Money in Stocks," where he showcases numerous chart setups that preceded massive market winners. This visual catalog helps traders recognize patterns, but we wanted to take it further with interactive, dynamic charts you could study from multiple angles.
Qullamaggie's passionate rants about "putting in the hours" and "rolling up your sleeves" to study charts resonated with us. He emphasizes that true conviction comes from building your own eye through systematic study—not from blindly following someone else's word. ChartLab exists to make this process more efficient and powerful.
